I'm motivated by the opportunity to create and contribute to work that makes an impact.

I’m Katlyn Evans, a public relations student from the University of South Carolina with a love for creativity, communication and bringing ideas to life. I’m drawn to the why behind what catches our attention. Why some things stand out and others don’t, why certain brands feel like they just get it, and how a good idea becomes something people actually care about.

But some of the most valuable things I know about communication weren’t learned in a classroom.

The most important parts of who I am professionally were shaped through years in the service industry.

Working face-to-face with people taught me how to read a room, communicate with just about anyone and stay composed when things move fast. It taught me to anticipate what people need, pay attention to the details and understand that good communication goes beyond the words you use.

I may be trading busy shifts for a different kind of fast-paced environment, but I’m bringing every one of those lessons with me.

I’m ambitious, curious and the kind of person who genuinely cares about putting my best into everything I do. I love the process of taking a scattered idea and turning it into something thoughtful and intentional.
